S.S. Etch #12

Arcal Stainless Steel Etch #12 is a new concept of stainless steel etchant concentrate used to etch stainless steel surfaces and parts for further fabrication such as brazing, rubberizing or resin coating.

This innovative product releases a specific amount of etch at a time and is stabilized for a specific etch rate. It produces a uniformly etched surface, providing an excellent basis for adhesion in brazing, rubberizing or resin coatings. Stainless Steel Etch #12 was designed for use at ambient temperatures; however, when used at a temperature range of 80' - 100'F, the etch rate is increased, speeding up the etching process.

Application Instructions:

1. Degrease and clean the stainless steel to be etched.

2. Keep the pieces immersed in Stainless Steel Etch #12 for 3-10 minutes depending on the finish and the etch rate desired.

3. Remove the pieces and flush with plenty of water.

4. Repeat the process or increase contact time if required.
